4-inch Swivel Stem Caster

This 4-inch swivel stem caster uses a polyolefin wheel and a zinc-plated steel frame to support a 350 lb load rating. It is designed for carts, wheelbarrows and similar equipment that need a non-marking wheel with a Delrin bearing. The threaded stem measures 1/2 In. -13 x 1-1/2 in for direct mounting. The caster mounts at a height of 4 13/16 in.

Capacity and Headroom

The 350 lb load rating suits light to medium-duty material handling within the 300 to 999 lb class. Polyolefin tread resists water and most chemicals while protecting floor surfaces from marks. The single-wheel design limits capacity compared with dual-wheel units, so heavier loads will require additional casters or a higher-rated model.

Thermals Noise and Power

No motor or electrical components are present, so power draw and operating temperature are not applicable. The Delrin bearing runs without lubrication and produces minimal rolling noise on smooth surfaces. Frame finish and wheel material add no heat during normal manual operation.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/2 in.-13 threaded stem on this 4 in. swivel caster fit the existing mounting holes on my older cart?

The stem is 1/2 in.-13 x 1-1/2 in. threaded steel; measure your cart’s hole diameter and thread pitch to confirm compatibility before installing.

How can I verify the caster swivels freely and supports the rated load after installation?

Spin the wheel by hand — it should rotate smoothly on the Delrin bearing — then load the cart up to 350 lb per caster and check for binding or frame flex.

Does the box include mounting nuts or washers for the 1/2 in.-13 stem, or must I supply them?

Only the caster with its zinc-plated steel frame and polyolefin wheel is included; nuts, washers or lock washers for the 1/2 in.-13 stem are not supplied.
