Swivel Stem Caster with Brake

The Zoro Select caster provides a 5 inch rubber wheel with a swivel stem and integrated brake. It supports a 200 lb load rating and mounts at a height of 5 13/16 inches. The steel frame features a zinc plated finish for corrosion resistance. A threaded stem measures 1/2 inch-13 by 2-1/2 inches for secure attachment.

Suitable for light carts and wheelbarrows

This caster suits equipment requiring a single swivel wheel with a locking brake under 200 lb. It is not for applications exceeding the 200 lb rating or needing non-marking tread. Buyers who want a higher capacity or a different stem type should look at other options.

Fits threaded stem mounts on yard equipment

The 1/2 inch-13 threaded stem installs directly into compatible mounting holes on carts or wheelbarrows. The plain bore wheel rolls on rubber tread without bearings. The zinc plated steel frame resists outdoor exposure while the brake locks the wheel to keep equipment stationary.

Questions about this item

Does the 1/2 in.-13 threaded stem match the mounting holes on my existing cart?

The caster uses a 1/2 in.-13 x 2-1/2 in. threaded stem, so it fits any cart or wheelbarrow with a matching tapped hole.

Will the 5 in. rubber wheel roll smoothly over the same rough concrete where my older steel wheels struggled?

The 5 in. rubber tread absorbs vibration better than hard steel, giving a quieter, easier push on cracked or uneven surfaces.

How can I confirm the brake locks the wheel securely once installed?

Step on the brake pedal; the wheel should not rotate when you push the loaded cart, and the pedal stays engaged until you release it.
