Swivel Stem Caster for Yard Equipment

This swivel stem caster fits wheelbarrows and carts used around the garden. It carries a 150 lb load rating on a 5 in polyolefin wheel that does not mark surfaces. The threaded stem measures 1/2 In. -13 x 1-1/2 in and mounts at 5 13/16 in height.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The caster has no motor or electrical components, so it produces no heat, noise or power draw during normal use. Its plain bearing and polyolefin tread roll quietly over grass, gravel or paving. Steel frame with zinc plated finish resists corrosion in outdoor conditions.

Bundled Accessories and Software

No accessories or software are included with this caster. The unit ships as a single wheel assembly ready for installation. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the product contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1/2 In. -13 x 1-1/2 in threaded stem correctly?

Thread the stem into the pre-tapped hole on your cart or wheelbarrow until the shoulder seats firmly; the step often missed is checking that the 5 13/16 in mounting height matches the original caster so the load stays level.

What maintenance will the polyolefin wheel and zinc-plated frame need over time?

Wipe debris from the wheel tread and swivel raceway periodically; the non-marking polyolefin resists flat-spotting, and the zinc plating protects the steel frame from corrosion under normal outdoor use.

At what load does the 150 lb rating become the limiting factor during sustained use?

The 150 lb load rating is the first limit reached; exceeding it risks stem deformation or wheel failure, so keep the combined weight of the cart and contents at or below that figure.
