Polyolefin wheel and Delrin bearing

The 4 in polyolefin wheel is non-marking and paired with a Delrin bearing for smooth rotation. A zinc-plated steel frame resists corrosion during outdoor use. Mounting height measures 4 13/16 in with a 1 1/4 in wheel width.

Questions about this item

When will the Delrin bearing in the 275 lb caster need replacement?

The Delrin bearing is sealed and maintenance-free; replace the whole caster if the wheel develops flat spots or the stem threads strip.

What stops the 4 in polyolefin wheel from rolling smoothly under a continuous 275 lb load?

The 275 lb load rating is the hard limit; exceeding it causes the wheel to bind or the stem to bend.

Does the zinc-plated steel frame get hot or noisy after hours of rolling on concrete?

Polyolefin tread runs quietly and the frame stays near ambient temperature; only the Delrin bearing may emit a faint click under full load.
