ZORO SELECT Swivel Stem Caster 4 in

The ZORO SELECT 32J989 is a swivel stem caster with a four-inch polyolefin wheel rated for two hundred seventy-five pounds. It suits carts, wheelbarrows and light equipment that need a single non-marking wheel. The Delrin bearing and zinc-plated steel frame resist corrosion in damp environments.

Load rating and stem fit constraints

The caster supports up to two hundred seventy-five pounds and mounts at a height of four and thirteen-sixteenths inches. The threaded stem measures seven-sixteenths minus fourteen by one and a half inches, so the mounting hole must match that exact thread. Wheels wider than one and a quarter inches will not fit this fork.

Replaces fixed or smaller casters

This unit replaces fixed-direction casters when full swivel manoeuvrability is required. It also upgrades from smaller-diameter wheels that struggle on rough ground. The jump is worth it when the load stays within the two hundred ninety-nine-pound upper limit and the stem thread matches the existing hardware.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 4 in wheel diameter or a different size for my cart?

This caster has a 4 in wheel diameter and 1 1/4 in wheel width with a 275 lb load rating; choose it when your cart needs that exact height and capacity.

What does the 275 lb load rating mean when the caster is mounted on a wheelbarrow?

The 275 lb rating is the maximum weight each caster can support; the total cart capacity depends on the number of casters installed and how evenly the load is distributed.

How does the 7/16 In. -14 x 1-1/2 in threaded stem affect installation and compatibility?

The 7/16 In. -14 x 1-1/2 in threaded stem screws into a matching tapped hole; verify your equipment has the same thread size and depth before mounting.
