ZORO SELECT 5 in. Caster Wheel

This ZORO SELECT caster wheel is a replacement component for wheelbarrows, carts and similar yard equipment. It fits a 1/2 in. axle and includes a spanner bushing for secure mounting. The green polyurethane tread on an aluminium core is built for heavy-duty outdoor use.

1,050 lb load rating and capacity headroom

The wheel carries a rated load of 1,050 lb, placing it in the 1,000 to 2,999 lb load rating range. It comfortably handles fully loaded wheelbarrows and utility carts on firm, level ground. Capacity runs out on soft terrain, steep inclines or when impact loads exceed the static rating.

Polyurethane tread on aluminium core

The 55 Shore D polyurethane tread is hard and non-marking, rolling smoothly on concrete and packed gravel. It resists abrasion and most common chemicals but will wear faster on sharp debris or rough asphalt. The roller bearing and 2 7/16 in. hub length suit standard axle assemblies.

Questions about this item

Will the 5 in. wheel diameter and 1/2 in. axle size fit the existing brackets on my older wheelbarrow?

The wheel measures 5 in. in diameter with a 1/2 in. axle bore and a 2 7/16 in. hub length; compare those dimensions to your current brackets to confirm fit.

How can I verify the polyurethane tread is rolling smoothly under load after installation?

Spin the wheel by hand to check for free rotation, then load up to the 1050 lb. rating and confirm the roller bearing runs quietly without binding or flat spots.

Does the package include the spanner bushing needed for the 1/2 in. axle, or must I buy it separately?

The spanner bushing is included in the box, so no separate purchase is required for the 1/2 in. axle installation.
