ZORO SELECT 4DE54 Rigid Plate Caster

The ZORO SELECT 4DE54 is a rigid plate caster designed for wheelbarrows, carts and similar yard equipment. It uses a polyurethane tread on a polyolefin core and carries a 250 lb load rating. The non‑marking wheel helps protect finished floors during use.

Suits single‑wheel replacement on flat surfaces

This caster fits applications that need a fixed‑direction wheel with no swivel or brake function. It is not suited for builds that require steering movement, locking positions or a higher weight capacity than the stated rating.

Plate mount installs with standard bolts

The rigid plate bolts directly to the frame using common hardware. Because the unit has no swivel lock or brake, alignment must be checked before tightening. The Proposition 65 notice indicates the product contains chemicals known to California to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is needed to attach the 4 in rigid plate caster?

The caster uses a plate mount; you will need bolts or screws that match the plate hole pattern and are rated for the 250 lb load capacity.

Can the polyurethane wheel run on the same axle as older rubber wheels?

The wheel core is polyolefin with a 1 1/4 in width; it will fit the same axle only if the axle diameter and spacing match those dimensions.

How do I confirm the caster rolls true after installation?

Spin the wheel by hand — it should rotate freely without wobble, the polyurethane tread should stay non‑marking on the floor, and the rigid fork must not swivel.
