Rigid Plate Caster for Heavy Loads

The Albion Inc. Zoro Select rigid plate caster mounts on a flat plate and uses a polyurethane wheel that will not mark floors. It carries a 1000 lb load rating and rolls on a 6 in diameter wheel with a 2 in tread width. The wheel core is also polyurethane for consistent performance.

Suits Carts and Dollies Needing Straight Tracking

Builders outfitting platform trucks, material-handling carts or heavy-duty dollies will appreciate the fixed orientation that keeps loads moving in a straight line. Buyers who need swivel manoeuvrability or an integrated brake should look at a different caster type.

Mounts Directly to a Flat Plate

The plate bolts to the equipment frame without additional brackets, leaving the wheel assembly exposed for easy inspection. Because the caster has no brake or swivel lock, the surrounding structure must provide any required stopping or positioning control.

Questions about this item

What plate-bolt pattern does my cart need to match the 4DE81 rigid caster?

The 4DE81 rigid plate caster uses a standard mounting plate; measure the hole centres on your cart or wheelbarrow frame to confirm they align with the caster plate before fitting.

Will the 6-inch polyurethane wheel roll smoothly on the same axle as my older steel wheels?

The 6-inch polyurethane wheel runs on its own axle and bearings, so it rolls independently of any existing steel wheels without binding or speed mismatch.

How can I confirm the 1000 lb rating is holding after installation?

Load the cart to its intended weight, then check that the wheel turns freely, the plate stays firmly bolted, and the polyurethane tread shows no permanent flat spots.
