SKU CH-HTK5-688B2

Two-drawer box/file pedestal with steel ball-bearing slides, counterweight anti-tip, and four casters for mobility

  • Smooth drawer operation with steel ball bearing slides
  • Easy access using full-length pulls on both drawers
  • Mobile or stationary with four casters and glides included
  • Secure storage via counterweight anti-tip and core-changeable lock
  • Organised filing for letter and legal sizes with high-sided drawers

Compact Steel Pedestal

This two-drawer metal pedestal provides secure, mobile storage for letter- and legal-sized hanging files. A counterweight anti-tip mechanism keeps the unit stable when drawers are open. Four casters, two of them locking, allow easy relocation or fixed positioning. A core-changeable lock with two keys protects contents.

Sustained Daily Use

Steel ball-bearing slides deliver smooth operation; the box drawer travels three-quarters extension while the file drawer extends fully for complete access. High-sided file drawers include a legal conversion bar for versatile filing. The full-length pull enables easy opening from any angle during repeated use.

Replaces Bulky Cabinets

This pedestal replaces large stationary filing cabinets when floor space is limited and mobility is required. The jump is worth it for users needing lockable, organized drawer storage that rolls to the desk and locks in place. It is not suited for buyers who need more than two drawers or fire-rated protection.

Questions about this item

Does the 27in height without casters require extra clearance under a desk?

Without casters the unit stands 27in tall, so measure your desk knee space to confirm it fits.

What floor surface is needed for the two locking and two non-locking casters to roll and lock reliably?

The four casters — two locking, two non-locking — are designed for standard office carpet or hard floors; no special surface is required.

Will the steel ball-bearing slides on the 12in file drawer align with existing hanging folders from an older cabinet?

The 12in high file drawer includes a legal conversion bar and full-length extension slides that accept standard letter or legal hanging folders.
