Ready-to-Play Kit for Young Beginners

The Alesis RED30 roll-up drum set packs nine pads, two pedals and sticks into a single silicone surface that unrolls in seconds. It targets children aged three to fourteen who want an immediate, self-contained way to start learning rhythms without a full-size acoustic kit.

Ten-Hour Battery for Extended Sessions

A built-in lithium-ion cell delivers up to 10 hours of continuous play after a full charge from a 5V 2A adapter, so practice can continue through long afternoons or outdoor gatherings without hunting for a power socket.

Check Space and Connectivity First

The pad measures 15.35 by 11.02 by 1.02 inches when flat, so verify you have a stable surface at least that large. Ensure a USB port is free for MIDI connection and that an AUX cable is handy if you plan to route external audio through the built-in speaker.

Questions about this item

Does the RED30 roll-up drum kit make any fan or motor noise during a full 10-hour practice session?

The kit has no fan or moving parts; it runs silently on its built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to 10 hours per charge.

What power adapter must I already own to recharge the RED30's battery?

You need a standard 5 V 2 A USB power adapter; the drum pad charges through its USB port and the adapter is not included.

Can I connect the RED30's USB MIDI output to an older computer running legacy music software?

Yes, the USB port sends standard MIDI data, so any computer with a USB port and MIDI-compatible software can record or trigger sounds from the kit.
