7-Inch Multimedia Receiver Bundle

This bundle combines an Alpine iLX-507 7-inch multimedia receiver with two R2-S65 6.5-inch coaxial speakers. It is designed for drivers who want a single package that upgrades both the head unit and front-door sound. The receiver provides a 7-inch WXGA display, wireless smartphone integration, built-in Bluetooth, and HD Radio reception. The speakers add 2022 R-Series Hi-Res Audio certified performance for the front sound stage.

Wireless Smartphone Integration Limits

The receiver supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, so a compatible phone connects without a cable for maps, messages, and music. A USB port is also available for wired playback of MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, and APE files. Front and rear camera inputs are provided for parking assistance, and the unit is steering-wheel-remote ready for factory control retention. An external microphone is included for clearer voice commands and calls.

100-Watt RMS Speaker Power Handling

Each R2-S65 speaker handles 100 watts RMS and 300 watts peak power, setting the practical limit for clean, sustained output from the receiver or an external amplifier. The 2-way coaxial design uses a 16.5 cm glass-fibre reinforced cone woofer with an integrated hard-dome tweeter and a built-in crossover network. Hi-Res Audio certification confirms frequency response up to 40 kHz. Speaker grilles are included for a finished installation.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 7-inch receiver bundle or a single-DIN alternative?

This bundle pairs the iLX-507 7-inch WXGA display with two R2-S65 6.5-inch coaxial speakers, giving you a complete front-stage upgrade in one box.

What does the 100-watt RMS rating mean once the speakers are installed?

Each R2-S65 handles 100 watts RMS continuously, so the pair delivers clean, loud output without distortion when driven by the receiver's 4-volt pre-outs.

How does the 40 kHz frequency response cap real-world performance?

The Hi-Res Audio certified tweeters extend to 40 kHz, preserving detail from FLAC and APE files that standard speakers roll off well below that limit.
