6.94" motorised touchscreen with built-in HERE Maps navigation, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, plus included front/rear camera
The Pioneer AVIC-W8600NEX is a double-DIN head unit built around a 6.94" WVGA capacitive touchscreen that slides out on a motorized mechanism. It targets drivers who want factory-style integration with modern smartphone mirroring and a dedicated navigation system in a single chassis. The package includes the ND-BC011 universal camera for front or rear viewing assistance.
This receiver replaces a standard CD player or entry-level touchscreen that lacks built-in mapping and wireless phone projection. The jump is worth it when you need HERE Maps with 3D city views, lane guidance and traffic alerts alongside wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. It also adds HD Radio, satellite radio readiness and Alexa compatibility through the Pioneer Vozsis app.
The internal amplifier delivers 50 watts across four channels with a 13-band graphic equalizer, subwoofer control and time alignment for detailed sound shaping. It comfortably drives component speaker sets and a powered subwoofer through the RCA preouts. The system runs out when the install demands more than four amplified channels or requires DSP features beyond the provided EQ, alignment and crossover settings.

The unit fits a standard double-DIN opening; the motorised screen slides out from the 2-DIN frame, so the cut-out must accommodate the full chassis depth behind the dash.
The reverse-trigger lead must be tied to the vehicle's backup-light circuit; without it the camera will not switch on automatically when reverse is selected.
Map updates are released periodically by HERE; the receiver accepts updates via SD card or USB so you can refresh 3D city maps and lane guidance when new versions become available.
