Alpine Type E 6.5" Coaxial Speakers

These Alpine Type E speakers are a 6.5-inch coaxial 2-way pair designed for car audio upgrades. They suit drivers who want clearer sound from a factory mounting location without adding separate components.

Fits standard 6.5" openings with included hardware

The coaxial design places the tweeter on the woofer axis so one cut-out handles both frequencies. This layout frees dashboard or door space that a component system would need for external crossovers and separate tweeter mounts.

40W RMS power with 92dB sensitivity

Rated at 40 watts RMS and 220 watts peak, they work well with head-unit power or a modest amplifier. The 92dB sensitivity produces strong output from low-power sources, while the foam edge and pulp cone keep distortion low during extended listening.

Questions about this item

How much continuous power can the 6.5" Alpine Type E speakers handle before thermal compression limits output?

The RMS rating is 40 watts, so sustained playback above that level will cause the voice coil to heat up and compress dynamics.

What are the thermal and acoustic characteristics when these speakers run at high volume for extended periods?

The 92 dB sensitivity means they play loudly with modest power, while the neodymium and ferrite magnet structure helps dissipate heat during long listening sessions.

What mounting depth and factory wiring harness does my vehicle need to accept these 6.5" coaxial speakers?

They fit standard 6.5 inch cut-outs and connect to ordinary speaker wire; no proprietary harness or amplifier is required for basic installation.
