Portable stereo pair for outdoor listening

The Altec Lansing HydraOrbit 2-pack delivers two compact Bluetooth speakers built for travel and rugged environments. Each unit weighs 1.5700 and carries an IP67 rating against water, dust, drops and shock. They float if dropped in a pool and include a strap for clipping to bags or awnings. True Wireless Pairing links the pair for stereo output.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The speakers run on internal USB-C rechargeable batteries offering up to 10 hours of playtime per charge. No active cooling is present, so operation is silent apart from audio output. Power draw is limited to the battery capacity and USB-C charging current, producing no noticeable heat during playback at typical volumes.

Bundled accessories and software impact

The package supplies two speakers and a carrying strap for each unit; no charging cables, docks or companion apps are included. Any USB-C cable can recharge the batteries. Pairing the two speakers via True Wireless Pairing expands the soundstage to stereo without extra hardware or software setup.

Questions about this item

How do I pair two of these HydraOrbit speakers for stereo sound?

Turn both speakers on, then press the True Wireless Pairing button on each unit until they link; the pair will then play left and right channels from a single Bluetooth source.

What battery care does the USB-C rechargeable pack need over time?

Recharge at least every few months during storage, avoid letting it sit fully discharged, and use any standard USB-C charger — the built-in cell is not user-replaceable.

At what volume level does the 50 mm driver start to compress on long sessions?

The 50 mm ABR driver maintains clarity up to its rated output; sustained maximum volume will trigger thermal protection before audible distortion appears.
