Altronix eBridge1CR Receiver

The Altronix eBridge1CR is an IP over coax receiver designed for surveillance installers who need to extend network connectivity over existing coaxial infrastructure. It accepts composite video signals and operates on flexible power inputs. This unit is not intended for buyers who require a built-in transmitter or Power over Ethernet injection.

Thermals Noise Power

The receiver draws power from either 12/24VDC or 16/24VAC sources through two dedicated connectors. It carries UL 60950-1 and CUL listings for Information Technology Equipment along with CE and C-TICK Z1409 approvals. These certifications confirm compliance with recognised safety standards for continuous operation in security installations.

Bundled Accessories Software

The package includes two power connectors that simplify wiring to the supported voltage ranges. No configuration software or management utility is supplied with the hardware. Installers must pair the receiver with a compatible transceiver to establish the Ethernet-over-coax link and pass simultaneous composite video at up to 25Mbps.

Questions about this item

How do I install the eBridge1CR receiver and what step is often missed?

Connect the coax cable to the receiver, attach composite video cables, then supply 12/24VDC or 16/24VAC via the two power connectors; the step often missed is confirming the matching transceiver is already active at the far end.

What maintenance or replacement will the eBridge1CR need later?

No moving parts or filters are present; only the power supply and coax connections may need checking if video or data drops occur.

What limit appears first when the eBridge1CR runs continuously?

The 25Mbps throughput ceiling is reached before any thermal or power limit under sustained load.
