Quick-Release Mic Mount

The Ambient Recording QuickLok system provides a snap-on and snap-off mechanism for microphone assembly. It is built for professionals who need to change microphones or accessories rapidly on film sets, at live events, or in the studio. The package includes two QRTT tips to support versatile attachment options.

Robust Build for Daily Swaps

Constructed from durable materials, the QuickLok withstands frequent connection cycles without loosening. The secure locking action keeps the microphone stable during recording, while the quick-release function eliminates the time lost to threading traditional screw mounts. Two included tips allow immediate adaptation to different accessory threads.

Replaces Screw-On Adapters

This system upgrades from standard threaded mounts that slow down microphone changes during sessions. The jump is worth it for crews who reconfigure audio setups multiple times a day and need a reliable, tool-free connection. It is not suited for users who rarely swap microphones or prefer a permanent fixed installation.

Questions about this item

What thread standard does the QuickLok quick release use for microphone attachment?

The QuickLok uses standard microphone threads for snap-on connection, with the two included QRTT tips adapting to common mic stand and boom pole fittings.

What physical clearance does the QuickLok need on a boom pole or stand?

The compact black housing adds minimal length and fits standard pole diameters; the QRTT tips seat flush so no extra clamp space is required.

How do you install the QRTT tips, and what step is often missed?

Press each QRTT tip firmly into the QuickLok body until it clicks; the missed step is verifying the locking ring engages fully before mounting a microphone.
