Compact simplex scanner for mobile desks

The Ambir TravelScan Pro PS600-AS is a USB-powered simplex sheetfed scanner built for users who need colour, document and ID capture in a footprint the size of a three-hole punch. It suits crowded desks and travelling professionals who cannot accommodate a flatbed device.

Sustained throughput on single-sided pages

At 200 dpi the unit processes an 8.5 x 11 inch page in 11 seconds in black and white mode, while a business card takes 3 seconds at 300 dpi grayscale. Speeds are quoted for simplex feeding only; no duplex or multi-page batch figures are provided.

600 dpi optical resolution ceiling

The 48-bit CMOS CIS sensor tops out at 600 dpi optical resolution, so the scanner cannot resolve detail beyond that density. Buyers who need higher optical resolution for archival enlargement or specialised imaging should consider other hardware.
