1080p Pan/Tilt Indoor Camera

The Amcrest IP2M-841W-V3 is a 2MP WiFi network camera built for indoor monitoring. It captures 1080p video at 30fps with a 90° viewing angle and 32-foot IR night vision. Motorised 360° pan and 90° tilt let you reposition the view remotely. The camera runs on 2.4 GHz WiFi only and includes two-way audio for live communication.

Auto-Tracking and Privacy Controls

Onboard motion and audio detection trigger push or email alerts and can automatically follow movement across the room. Privacy Mode disables the live stream, recordings and notifications with one tap. Recordings can be saved to a microSD card up to 256 GB, Amcrest Cloud, Amcrest NVRs, Synology or QNAP NAS, or an FTP server. Amcrest Surveillance Pro software for Windows and Mac is bundled for local management.

Browser and Network Limits

Live viewing works in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari without plugins. Video compression uses H.265 or H.264 to reduce bandwidth and storage needs. The device supports only 2.4 GHz wireless networks, so it will not connect to 5 GHz bands. Secure access relies on SSL/HTTPS and AES/WPA2 encryption. Buyers needing 5 GHz WiFi, wired Ethernet or onboard person detection should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Will the 256 GB microSD card need periodic replacement?

The camera records to microSD cards up to 256 GB; flash cards have a finite write lifespan, so plan to replace the card after heavy continuous use.

What limits continuous 1080p 30 fps recording first?

The microSD card capacity of 256 GB or the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi bandwidth will fill or saturate before the camera itself reaches a thermal or processing ceiling.

How much heat or noise does the pan/tilt motor add during all-day operation?

The unit uses a UL-compliant power supply and has no fan; the pan/tilt mechanism runs quietly and stays cool enough for continuous indoor use.
