Amcrest AI Bullet IP PoE Camera 5MP 129° 49ft Color Night Vision network camera

5MP AI Bullet Camera for PoE Networks

This 5-megapixel IP bullet camera delivers 20 frames per second through a 2.8 mm lens with a 129° field of view. It targets installers who want human and vehicle detection plus colour night vision up to 49 feet without running separate power cables. The housing carries an IP67 rating for outdoor mounting. A PoE injector or switch is required and sold separately.

PoE Power and Storage Limits

The camera draws power solely through the Ethernet cable, so a compliant PoE injector or switch must be present on the network. Onboard recording accepts a microSD card up to 256 GB; larger cards are not supported. Video streams use H.265 or H.264 compression. The built-in microphone provides one-way audio capture only.

Pre-Installation Checklist

Verify that your network infrastructure can supply PoE power at the camera location and that the recorder or NAS you plan to use supports ONVIF or the listed Amcrest, Synology and QNAP integration paths. Confirm the 2.8 mm fixed lens covers the desired area — the DORI identify distance is 21 feet. Ensure a microSD card of 256 GB or less is available if local storage is needed.
