Portable 4G LTE GPS tracker for vehicles and people

The Amcrest AM-GL300W-4G is a compact 4G LTE GPS tracker designed to monitor vehicles, children, seniors or valuable assets. It provides real-time location updates through a smartphone app or desktop web browser. A monthly subscription plan is required to activate the tracking service. The device operates on 4G networks only and will not function in areas without 4G coverage.

Simple setup with magnetic mount and app activation

Installation consists of charging the included 2600mAh battery, activating a subscription plan, and placing the tracker in the desired location. The unit is IPX5 weather resistant for exterior vehicle placement. Battery life ranges from 10 to 14 days with 60-second updates, decreasing to 2 to 3 days at the fastest 5-second interval. The SOS alarm is triggered by pressing the function button.

Verify 4G coverage and subscription tier before

Confirm that the intended use area has reliable 4G LTE signal, as the tracker does not fall back to 2G or 3G networks. Choose a subscription update interval — 60, 30, 15 or 5 seconds — that balances tracking granularity with the battery runtime you require. The device charges via 5V DC and supports GSM 900/1800 MHz bands for communication.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the tracker is updating its location every 60 seconds after setup?

Open the Amcrest GPS app or desktop web portal and verify the position refreshes at the 60-second interval you selected; low-battery and power-on/off alerts also confirm the unit is active.

What accessories are included and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the tracker, a 2600 mAh extended battery and a 5 V DC charger; a monthly 4G LTE data plan starting at $19.99 for 60-second updates is required and sold separately.

Which subscription tier should I choose for roughly 10 to 14 days of battery life?

Select the $19.99 plan with 60-second updates; the manufacturer rates the 2600 mAh battery at 10–14+ days on that setting, compared with 7–8 days at 30-second updates and less at faster intervals.
