Indoor 1080P Pan/Tilt IP Camera

The Amcrest ProHD is a 2 MP indoor security camera that streams 1080p video at 30 fps over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It uses an Exmor IMX323 sensor with an Ambarella S2LM chipset for enhanced low-light performance and includes infrared night vision up to 32 feet. Motorised pan and tilt plus two-way audio let you monitor and communicate from the Amcrest View app on iOS or Android.

Buyers who need 5 GHz Wi-Fi support

This camera only connects to 2.4 GHz networks, so it will not join a 5 GHz band. It also does not meet NDAA component requirements, which may exclude it from certain federal or regulated installations. Users who require dual-band connectivity or strict NDAA compliance should consider a different model.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only

The single specification that decides fitment is the wireless band: the camera supports 2.4 GHz networks and explicitly does not support 5 GHz networks. If your router or mesh system broadcasts only a 5 GHz SSID, this camera will not connect.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the camera and connect it to my 2.4 GHz network without losing the pan-tilt range?

Place the unit on a flat surface or screw it to a wall using the base holes, power it with the UL-compliant supply, then use the Amcrest View Pro app to join the 2.4 GHz SSID — the camera does not support 5 GHz.

What storage media will need replacement first during continuous recording?

A MicroSD card fills fastest; swap it when full or move footage to Amcrest Cloud, an Amcrest NVR, QNAP NAS or FTP server to extend local-card life.

At what distance does night vision stop identifying faces in total darkness?

The IR LEDs illuminate up to 32 feet; beyond that range the Exmor IMX323 sensor cannot resolve facial detail without ambient light.
