Replacement cartridge for APC UPS units

The American Battery RBC11 is a maintenance-free sealed lead-acid cartridge designed as a drop-in replacement for compatible APC uninterruptible power supplies. It arrives new and ready for hot-swap installation without shutting down connected equipment. The cartridge includes all necessary cables, connectors, fuses and guides for immediate deployment. Buyers needing lithium chemistry or a different form factor should look elsewhere.

18000 mAh capacity at 12 VDC

The 18000 mAh rating provides the energy reserve specified for supported SU, SUA, SUX and SURT models ranging from 1400 VA to 3000 VA. Typical service life spans three to five years under normal float conditions. Runtime scales with the load attached to the UPS; the cartridge does not extend backup time beyond the original design limits of the host unit. Installations requiring longer autonomy than the host UPS was engineered for cannot be satisfied by this cartridge alone.

Hot-swap hardware and recycling guide included

The package supplies the replacement cartridge, interconnect cables, connectors, fuses, an installation guide and a recycling guide. These items enable tool-free swap-out and responsible disposal of the spent battery. No monitoring software, network cards or mounting rails are bundled; those must be sourced separately if the UPS lacks them. Users without an APC UPS from the listed compatibility series cannot use this cartridge.

Questions about this item

Will this RBC11 cartridge fit the APC SU2200XLT UPS I already own?

Yes, the RBC11 is listed as compatible with the APC SU2200XLT among many other Smart-UPS models.

How can I confirm the replacement battery is operating correctly after installing it?

The UPS will run a self-test on power-up; a green status LED and normal runtime during a brief load test indicate the 12 VDC 18000 mAh cartridge is working.

Does the package include the cables, connectors and fuses needed for the swap, or must I order them separately?

The box contains the replacement battery cartridge plus cables, connectors, fuses, an installation guide and a recycling guide — no extra parts are required.
