Product Identity

The AMERICAN DYNAMICS ADCI610-D521 Illustra 610 is a 1080p HD MiniDome network camera designed for outdoor surveillance. Its vandal-resistant IK10+ housing suits exposed locations such as building perimeters, car parks or campus grounds where durability is essential.

Bundled Impact

The varifocal lens covers a 9.0 to 40.0 mm range, enabling motorised zoom and one-touch autofocus to frame scenes without manual adjustment. Dual-stream H.264 and MJPEG compression plus integrated bandwidth analytics reduce storage consumption. Two-way audio and a memory card slot add local recording and communication options.

Installation Reality

Power over Ethernet 802.3at (30.0 W) or 24V AC supplies the unit through a single RJ-45/12 connection, simplifying cabling for new or retrofit deployments. The day/night CMOS sensor lacks infrared illumination, so ambient or supplemental lighting is required for usable night-time footage.

Questions about this item

How often should the varifocal lens mechanism be checked or serviced after installation?

The camera uses a motorised varifocal lens with one‑touch autofocus; no scheduled maintenance interval is defined, so inspect the lens only if focus drift or zoom stiffness appears during routine checks.

What limits continuous recording time on the internal memory card slot?

Recording duration is limited by the capacity of the microSD card you install; the camera supports H.264 and MJPEG compression at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, so higher bit‑rates fill the card faster.

How much heat does the camera generate when powered by PoE 802.3at all day?

The unit draws up to 30.0 W via PoE Class 802.3at; the outdoor IK10+ housing is designed to dissipate that power passively, so surface temperature stays within the rated operating range without active cooling.
