Product identity

The American Dynamics IPS02D3OCWIT is a 2 megapixel outdoor mini dome camera with a 9 to 22 mm varifocal lens. It is built for wired IP surveillance systems that need adjustable coverage and reliable night vision. The IP66 housing protects the 1/2.8 image device against dust and heavy rain.

Build integration

Power and data travel over a single wired network connection using H.264 or M-JPEG compression. Four configurable privacy zones let installers mask sensitive areas without extra software. Infrared illumination reaches 61 to 100 feet, freeing the system from external lighting at night.

Buyer fit

Suits installers who need a compact, weatherproof dome with motorised focal adjustment for entrances, loading bays or perimeter lines. Not suited for buyers who want wireless deployment, built-in analytics beyond basic day/night switching, or a wider field of view than the 9 mm minimum allows.

Questions about this item

At what point does the 9–22 mm varifocal lens reach its maximum optical zoom?

The lens tops out at 22 mm, giving the narrowest field of view available on this camera.

How much heat or fan noise should I expect from the IP66-rated housing during continuous outdoor operation?

The sealed dome has no active cooling; it dissipates heat passively and runs silently in all weather.

Which network infrastructure must already be in place for the wired IP connection to work?

A PoE switch or injector plus an NVR or VMS that accepts H.264 or M-JPEG streams is required.
