Compatible Red Ink Cartridge

This cartridge replaces the OEM SL-870-1 supply for SendPro Mailstation postage meters. It is a USPS-approved red fluorescent ink formulated to work without voiding the meter warranty. The unit is sold individually and suits offices that process outgoing mail in-house.

Yield and Print Output

The cartridge yields up to 400-880 impressions per box, matching the original equipment specification. Ink density is calibrated for postal indicia legibility and scanner acceptance. No special warm-up or maintenance cycles are required beyond normal meter operation.

Mailstation Integration

The cartridge installs directly into the SendPro Mailstation print engine with no adapter or firmware change. It frees budget otherwise spent on OEM supplies while keeping the meter compliant. Buyers who need multi-colour printing or high-volume label rolls should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 870-1 cartridge in my SendPro Mailstation and what step is often missed?

Open the meter's ink compartment, remove the old cartridge, insert the new 870-1 until it clicks, then run a test print to confirm the meter recognises the replacement.

What maintenance will the 870-1 cartridge need after it is installed?

No routine maintenance is required; the cartridge is replaced once the 400 to 880 impressions are used or print quality fades.

What limit appears first during sustained mailing runs with the 870-1 cartridge?

The ink supply runs out after 400 to 880 impressions, which is the first limit you will reach under continuous use.
