1/25 Scale 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Funny Car Kit

This 1/25 scale plastic model kit recreates the 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle AWB Funny Car "Time Machine". It is rated at Skill Level 2, making it suitable for adult hobbyists with some building experience. The box contains 76 detailed parts molded in white. Paint and cement are required to complete the model but are not included.

Roll Cage Detail and Chrome Trim Parts

The kit features a detailed roll cage, bucket seats and custom hood, wheels, engine and bumpers. Black vinyl tires and chrome-plated small parts add realism to the finished model. Colorful decal artwork and vintage-style packaging reflect the officially licensed status. Builders can stripe the chrome trim detail with silver paint for a customised finish.

Step Up from Snap-Together Kits

This model replaces simpler snap-together kits by requiring paint and cement for assembly. The jump is worth it for builders who want authentic scale details such as a roll cage and plated parts. It is not for buyers who want a pre-finished display piece or a kit that does not require modelling supplies.

Questions about this item

What scale is the AMT 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle AWB Funny Car model kit?

This kit is 1/25 scale, so the finished model is approximately 25 times smaller than the real 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle AWB Funny Car.

What physical space and tools are needed to assemble and display the 76-part kit?

You need a flat, well-lit work surface, plastic model cement, paint and brushes; the completed model fits on a standard display shelf or in a 1/25 scale diorama.

How is the kit assembled, and which step do builders often rush?

Follow the instructions to build sub-assemblies like the engine, roll cage, and bucket seats first, then join them to the body; the step most often rushed is letting cement fully cure before handling chrome-plated parts or applying decals.
