AMT AMT1593 1/25 Silhouette Concept Car Kit 161 Parts Collector Tin

Scale Concept Car Kit

The AMT AMT1593 is a 1/25 scale plastic model kit of the Hot Wheels Silhouette, the iconic futuristic concept car from the original die-cast lineup. It arrives in a collectible tin and contains 161 detailed parts molded primarily in white. This Skill Level 2 kit is designed for intermediate modelers who enjoy building detailed replicas of classic custom car designs. Paint and cement are required for completion and are not included.

Build Complexity And Detail

Assembly follows a traditional glue-and-paint workflow suited to hobbyists with some prior experience. The kit provides a full chassis with suspension, a detailed interior featuring a custom steering unit, and an opening hood and trunk for display access. Builders can choose between two side pipe options, Astro wheels, or wire wheels, plus multiple engine configurations including a supercharger, triple carburetors, and an air scoop. Chrome-plated small parts, black vinyl tires, and metal axles add realism to the finished model.

Display And Collectibility Limits

The completed model serves as a static display piece rather than a functional rolling chassis; the metal axles and vinyl tires are fixed for presentation. The included bubble-top hauling trailer and colorful decal artwork enhance the vintage aesthetic but add fragile elements unsuited for handling or play. As an officially licensed product in vintage-style packaging, it targets adult collectors and concept car enthusiasts rather than younger builders or those seeking a ready-to-run toy.
