Plug-and-Play Setup with Power Requirement

The hub works without drivers on supported operating systems; simply connect the USB-C cable to the host port. The HDMI output delivers 4K at 60 Hz when the host supports the necessary video mode. Pass-through charging provides up to 85 W output from a 100 W PD input, but the host USB-C port must support power delivery and the power adapter is not included. If the host port lacks PD or video alt-mode, charging or external display will not function.

Bandwidth and Display Limits of the USB 3.0

The three USB-A ports run at 5 Gbps (USB 3.0), while two additional ports operate at USB 2.0 speeds. The single HDMI port is limited to one 4K@60Hz stream; a second external display cannot be driven from this hub. Gigabit Ethernet caps at 1000 Mbps and falls back to 10/100 Mbps on older networks. Total throughput shares the upstream USB 3.0 link, so simultaneous high-speed transfers on multiple ports will reduce per-port performance.
