12MP NVR with 8 PoE ports

This 12MP network video recorder accepts up to eight IP cameras through built-in Power over Ethernet ports. It ships with eight 3K outdoor cameras and a pre-installed 4TB hard drive for immediate 24/7 recording. The system is designed for homeowners and small businesses that want a complete, single-box surveillance kit with AI human and vehicle detection.

Sustained recording and bandwidth limits

The NVR handles 80 Mbps incoming and 80 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, which governs how many high-resolution streams can be recorded simultaneously. Playback capacity is structured as one channel at 12MP, three channels at 4MP or six channels at 1080p, all at 30 fps. H.265+ compression reduces long-term storage consumption while the single SATA bay supports drives up to 8TB for extended retention.

PoE power budget and interface constraints

Each PoE port delivers a maximum of 25.5 watts, so the eight cameras must share the total power budget of the 48V DC supply. Video output is limited to HDMI at 4K (4096 × 2160) and VGA at 1080p, while audio uses a single RCA input and output. The recorder operates between 14°F and 131°F and connects to third-party IP cameras that conform to the supported decoding formats.

Questions about this item

How much power does the NVR draw when running 24/7 without any cameras attached?

The NVR itself consumes 10 W when operating without a hard drive or PoE load.

Which cables and display connections do I need to have ready before installing the system?

You need Ethernet cables for the eight PoE camera ports, an HDMI or VGA cable for the monitor, and RCA leads if you want to use the audio input or output.

Can the 12 MP NVR record streams from older 1080p IP cameras I already own?

Yes, the NVR accepts third‑party network cameras and can record at up to 12 MP, so existing 1080p cameras will work within the eight‑channel PoE limit.
