General-purpose thread sealant tape

This PTFE tape is designed for general-purpose thread sealing on pipe connections up to 1-1/2 inches in diameter. It suits electricians, plumbers and maintenance technicians who need a reliable seal on metal or plastic fittings. The white POLY-TEMP XHD series tape is supplied new in a 43-foot roll.

Temperature and pressure ratings

The tape operates continuously from -400 °F to 550 °F, making it suitable for cryogenic lines and high-temperature steam or chemical service. It withstands liquid pressures up to 10,000 psi and gas pressures up to 2,000 psi. Linear density ranges between 1.2 and 1.5 g/cc for consistent fill.

Clean application with no thermal load

As a non-curing tape it adds no heat, noise or power draw to the system. The material remains pliable across its full temperature range so joints stay sealed through thermal cycling. No curing time or special tools are required during installation.
