  • Charge laptops at 240W using PD 3.1 and QC 4.0 power delivery

USB-C 3.2 Gen2 20Gbps Extender

This 2-metre male-to-female cable extends a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 connection while supporting 20Gbps data rates. It carries DisplayPort Alternate Mode video up to 4K at 60Hz and delivers up to 240W of Power Delivery 3.1 charging. A separate male-to-male USB-C 3.2 cable is required to complete the link to the host or display.

Replaces shorter or lower-spec cables

The 20Gbps bandwidth and 240W PD 3.1 support make the jump worthwhile when an existing cable limits Thunderbolt 3 or 4 peripheral speed or cannot supply enough power for high-wattage laptops. Backward compatibility with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 means older devices still work, just at their native rates.

Suits users extending a single USB-C port

Ideal for connecting external SSDs, eGPU enclosures or 4K monitors where the stock cable is too short. Not suited for setups that need a complete male-to-male cable out of the box, or for buyers who require Thunderbolt certification markings on the cable itself.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 90-degree USB-C plug need behind my laptop?

The right-angle connector adds roughly the width of a standard USB-C shell, so allow about 15 mm behind the port for the bend radius.

What is the correct order to connect this female-to-male extender with my existing USB-C cable?

Plug your male-to-male USB 3.2 cable into the extender's female end first, then insert the extender's male plug into the laptop or monitor.

When should I replace this 2-metre extension cable?

Replace it if the 20 Gbps data link becomes unstable, 240 W charging drops to a lower profile, or the 90-degree strain relief shows cracking.
