What the cable delivers

This 50 ft Cat 8 cable carries 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz using 26 AWG conductors arranged in four shielded foiled twisted pairs. The flat braided jacket and 24 k gold-plated RJ45 plugs target gamers, streamers and home-office users who need a single high-bandwidth run to a router, modem, console or PC.

How it fits the build

The thin flat profile slides under carpets, along baseboards or through tight door frames where round cables snag, freeing up routing options in finished rooms. S/FTP shielding and an aluminium-foil layer suppress crosstalk from adjacent pairs and nearby power cords, so the link stays clean without extra conduit or cable management trays.

Behaviour under sustained load

Heavy cotton braiding and aluminium connector shells resist kinking and connector fatigue during repeated moves or long-term tension, keeping the 40 Gbps ceiling stable during extended gaming sessions, large cloud backups or 4 K streaming marathons. Backward compatibility with Cat 6e, Cat 6, Cat 5e and Cat 5 RJ45 ports means the same cable remains useful if upstream gear is upgraded in stages.

Questions about this item

How far can this 50 ft Cat 8 cable run at its rated 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth?

The cable is rated for 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz over its full 50 ft length; actual throughput depends on the router, modem and network card in use.

Does the flat braided 26 AWG construction stay cool and quiet during all-day gaming or streaming?

The cable is passive with no active electronics, so it generates no noise and negligible heat even under continuous 40 Gbps loads.

Which devices must already have an RJ45 port to use this 24 k gold-plated Cat 8 cord?

Any device with a standard RJ45 jack — PC, laptop, PS5, PS4, PS3, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Switch, Smart TV, router, modem, printer or TV box — will connect directly.
