What this cable does
The Aomoproing DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries video from a desktop or laptop to a high-refresh-rate monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz. It uses 30 AWG tinned copper conductors and male-to-male DisplayPort connectors. The 3.3 ft length suits typical desk setups. It is VESA certified for DisplayPort 1.4 performance.
Bandwidth and protocol limits
The link runs at 32.4 Gbps using HBR3 signalling with DSC and forward error correction. It supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4, HDR, DPCP 1.0, DP++ dual-mode and multi-stream transport. Backwards compatibility covers DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2, 1.1a and 1.0. Stereoscopic 3D video and up to 32 audio channels are also carried.
The spec that decides fit
If your source and display both have DisplayPort 1.4 ports and you need 8K 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR, this cable meets the bandwidth requirement. Buyers who need longer runs or higher bandwidth than 32.4 Gbps cannot use this cable.

Questions about this item
How do I decide which length of this DisplayPort 1.4 cable to buy?
The cable is supplied in a single 3.3 ft length; choose it when your source and display are close enough for that reach, otherwise select a longer DisplayPort 1.4 cable from the range.
What does the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth actually deliver on my monitor?
It carries the full DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 rate, enabling 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz, 2K at 240 Hz or 1080p at 240 Hz with HDR and DSC support.
Which DisplayPort version does the connector use and what does that limit?
The male-to-male connectors follow DisplayPort 1.4, capping the link at 32.4 Gbps and making it backwards compatible with 1.3, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0 ports.
