What this cable is and who it suits

The Aomoproing USB4 cable delivers 40Gbps data transfer and 100W power delivery over a right-angle USB-C connector. It targets laptop and smartphone users who need high-resolution video output and fast charging for external SSDs, eGPU enclosures or docking stations. Buyers who require longer reach or multiple cables in different lengths should look elsewhere.

Sustained-load behaviour

The cable maintains the full 40Gbps bandwidth during extended transfers to external SSDs or eGPU docks, avoiding the throttling seen on lower-spec leads. It also sustains 100W charging without voltage drop while the connected device is under load. The right-angle plug reduces strain on the port during prolonged sessions.

Installation and common pitfalls

Plug the right-angle end into the host device and the straight end into the monitor, dock or drive; no drivers are required. Video output only works when the host port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, so check the device specification before purchase. Ensure the power source can supply 20V/5A if 100W charging is needed.

Questions about this item

Does the 100 W power delivery cause the cable to get warm during all-day charging?

The cable is rated for 100 W (20 V/5 A) fast charging and is built to handle that load continuously.

What must my laptop port support to get 8K video through this cable?

The laptop’s USB-C port needs DP Alternate Mode so the cable can pass an 8K @60 Hz signal.

Will the 40 Gbps link work with my older Thunderbolt 3 dock?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and will run at full 40 Gbps with that dock.
