Fanless Chrome Enterprise device

The AOpen Chromebox Mini 2 is a compact desktop PC that runs ChromeOS with Chrome Enterprise Upgrade already included. It uses an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, 8 GB of memory and 32 GB of eMMC storage in a ventless, fanless aluminium chassis. The design meets MIL-STD-810H requirements for durability in demanding environments.

Suited for managed deployments and fixed roles

Organisations that need silent, sealed units for kiosks, digital signage or managed desk work will fit this hardware into existing Chrome management consoles. Buyers who require local storage expansion, discrete graphics performance or a Windows/Linux operating system should consider a different platform.

32 GB eMMC fixes the storage ceiling

The soldered 32 GB eMMC module cannot be upgraded or replaced, so the entire OS, applications and local cache must live inside that space. If the workload demands more onboard capacity or removable media, this device will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What display connection does the Chromebox Mini 2 need for a monitor?

The unit has no built-in screen, so you must connect an external display via its video output port.

Will the fanless, MIL-STD-810H chassis interfere with nearby legacy peripherals?

The ventless aluminum design runs silently and produces no airflow, so it sits safely beside older equipment without vibration or dust disturbance.

How can I verify the Intel Celeron N4500 and 8 GB RAM are recognised after first boot?

Open ChromeOS settings → About Chrome OS → Diagnostics; the processor model and 8 GB memory total will be listed there.
