42U NetShelter SX Server Rack

The APC AR3100 is a 42U steel enclosure designed for low to medium density server and networking deployments. Its 600mm width and 1070mm depth allow it to roll through standard doorways while optimizing data centre floor space. Front and rear high-flow mesh doors support front-to-rear airflow for active equipment.

Suits standard-density server rows.

This rack fits builders who need numbered U positions, adjustable mounting depth and integrated cable management channels for conventional front-to-rear cooled hardware. It lacks specialised ducting or extra width, so installations that rely on side-exhaust switches or oversized cable bundles cannot be accommodated.

1363.64 kg static load rating

The frame is rated for 1363.64 kg static load and 1022.73 kg dynamic load, making the weight capacity the primary specification for verifying that a planned equipment population remains within structural limits.

Questions about this item

Does the AR3100 generate any fan noise or heat during continuous operation?

The enclosure itself has no built-in cooling fans or power supply, so it adds no audible noise or heat; any sound or warmth comes only from the equipment you install inside it.

What mounting hardware must I already have to install servers in the AR3100?

The rack ships with black cage nuts for its square-hole rails, so you only need the rack-mount ears or slide rails that attach to your own servers.

Will my existing 42U accessories such as PDUs and cable managers fit this enclosure?

The AR3100 provides numbered U positions, adjustable mounting depth and rear channels designed to hold two APC metered PDUs, so standard 42U accessories align correctly.
