42U Steel Server Enclosure

The APC AR3150 is a 42U NetShelter SX rack built from steel with a black cage-nut finish. It supports a static load of 1363.64 kg and a dynamic load of 1022.73 kg. The unit measures 42.13" x 29.53" x 78.39" and weighs 343.83 lbs. It ships assembled with adjustable leveling feet and joining capability for row installations.

Data centres and server rooms needing high-density

This enclosure suits installations that require the full 42U height and a weight rating above one metric tonne. Split rear doors and overhead cable management simplify access in hot-aisle or cold-aisle layouts. Buyers needing a smaller rack footprint or a lower weight rating should consider a different form factor.

1363.64 kg static weight capacity

The decisive figure is the 1363.64 kg static load limit. Verify that your combined equipment weight stays within this rating before purchase. The dynamic rating of 1022.73 kg applies when the rack is moved on its leveling feet or casters.

Questions about this item

How much power does the AR3150 rack enclosure draw when it is running all day?

The AR3150 is a passive steel enclosure with no powered components, so it draws no electricity and produces no heat or noise during continuous operation.

What mounting hardware must I already own to install equipment in the AR3150?

The rack uses black cage nuts on its adjustable rails, so you will need M6 cage nuts and matching screws to secure your servers and accessories.

Will the 750 mm wide AR3150 join directly to older racks that also use APC's joining capability?

Yes, the enclosure includes joining capability designed to connect with compatible APC NetShelter SX racks, allowing side-by-side alignment when the mounting points match.
