Industrial enclosure for 42U equipment

This floor-standing cabinet accommodates 42U of standard 19-inch rackmount gear in harsh environments such as factories, utility plants and warehouses. A NEMA 12 rating equivalent to IP54 protects against falling dirt, dust, drips, splashes and accidental contact. The sealed construction includes a roof cap, gasketed doors and ventilating louvers instead of open mesh.

Verify floor load and mounting depth before ordering

The unit weighs 310.0 lbs and supports a 3000 lbs weight capacity, so confirm the installation surface can handle the combined load. Adjustable mounting depths range from 4 to 37 inches, allowing flexibility for deep servers or shorter patch panels. Ensure the overall footprint of 79.8 by 23.63 inches fits the allocated floor space.

Twelve fans sustain airflow through sealed

High-performance fans pull air from front to rear across the enclosure, compensating for the resistance of removable dust filters on the front door. The sealed top and gasketed doors prevent contaminants from bypassing the filtration path during continuous operation. Zone 4 seismic rating confirms the torsion-resistant frame withstands sustained vibration and shock.

What comes with the SR42UBEIS rack and what must be purchased separately?

The enclosure includes front and rear doors with sealing gaskets, built-in dust filters on the front door, 12 high-performance fans on the rear door, a sealed roof cap, and side panels. Mounting hardware for 19-inch equipment and any additional cable-management accessories are not included.

Which capacity should I choose for this enclosure?

The SR42UBEIS provides 42U of rack space and supports a 3000 lbs weight capacity with adjustable mounting depths from 4 to 37 inches. Choose it when you need the full 42U height and maximum load rating for harsh environments.

What does the NEMA 12 IP54 rating mean once the rack is installed?

The sealed, locking cabinet protects equipment from falling dirt, dust, drips, splashes and accidental contact. Ventilating louvers with gaskets and removable front filters maintain airflow while the 12 rear fans pull air front-to-rear to compensate for filter resistance.
