Rack-Mount Sliding Shelf 1U

The APC AR8123BLK is a 1U sliding shelf designed for four-post server racks. It supports equipment weighing up to 100lbs or 45.5kg. The unit occupies a single rack unit and fits standard 17.5 inch wide mounting rails.

Adjustable Depth and Ventilated Design

Adjustable mounting depth lets you align the shelf with varying rail positions across different rack enclosures. Perforated front and rear surfaces promote airflow around installed servers or networking gear. The black finish matches typical rack aesthetics.

Verify Rail Spacing and Clearance Before Ordering

Confirm your rack provides four-post mounting with a depth range that accommodates the 28.4 inch shelf depth. Ensure at least 1.7 inches of vertical clearance is available for the 1U profile. Buyers needing a fixed shelf or a higher load rating should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the adjustable mounting depth need readjustment after heavy equipment is loaded over time?

The shelf mounts on four posts with adjustable depth; once secured to the rack rails it does not require periodic readjustment unless the rack itself is relocated.

What load limit will be reached first when the shelf is fully extended with a 45.5 kg server?

The shelf is rated for 100 lbs (45.5 kg) evenly distributed; that capacity is the first limit encountered under sustained use.

Does the perforated front and rear design keep the shelf cool during all-day operation?

The perforated front and rear doors provide ample ventilation for servers and networking equipment, allowing continuous airflow without added fan noise or heat buildup.
