The APC SRYL5KPMT is a 5 kW power module designed for the Smart-UPS Modular Ultra chassis. It delivers 208 V output for server rooms and network closets that need scalable, three-phase compatible backup power. IT managers can add or replace modules without shutting down connected equipment.

Capacity and headroom at 5 kW

Each module supplies 5 kW and 5 kVA, so a single unit handles a typical rack of switches, storage arrays and a few servers. Adding a second module doubles capacity and provides N+1 redundancy for critical loads. The chassis architecture limits total output to the frame rating, so growth stops when the enclosure reaches its maximum module count.

Practical limits of the 208 V modular interface

The module connects only to a compatible Smart-UPS Modular Ultra frame; it cannot operate standalone or in older Smart-UPS chassis. Battery runtime depends on the frame’s installed battery packs, not on this module alone. Firmware updates and monitoring require the chassis management card and network connection.
