Includes four dynamic microphones covering kick, snare and toms with 50 Hz to 18 kHz response and SPL handling up to 165 dB
The Apex DP5 Basic Drum Pack provides four dynamic microphones engineered for a standard four-piece drum kit. It includes one Apex325 bass drum microphone and three Apex326 microphones for snare and toms. This set suits drummers and sound engineers who need durable, high-SPL handling for live performances and studio recording sessions.
The Apex325 covers 50Hz to 16kHz, capturing deep kick drum fundamentals, while the Apex326 spans 90Hz to 18kHz for snare and tom attack. Both use dynamic moving coil elements with hyper-cardioid polar patterns to reject off-axis sound and minimise feedback on loud stages. Maximum SPL ratings are 165dB for the bass mic and 145dB for the snare/tom mics.
The pack contains exactly four microphones, tailored for kick, snare, and two toms. Builders needing additional mics for overheads, hi-hat, or larger kits must purchase extra units separately. The zinc die-cast bodies and included rim mounts on the Apex326 models are built for the physical demands of touring and frequent setup changes.

The Apex325 is designed for kick drums with a 50Hz-16kHz range and 165dB SPL handling; the Apex326 covers 90Hz-18kHz at 145dB SPL for snare and toms.
It captures deep sub-bass fundamentals down to 50Hz while the hyper-cardioid pattern rejects bleed from nearby cymbals and toms.
Both use standard XLR outputs, so any balanced microphone cable length suitable for your stage or studio layout will work.
