  • Broadcast-quality dynamic capsule for rich vocal capture

  • All-metal construction withstands daily studio use
  • Bundle adds headphones, tabletop stand and 15 ft XLR cable

Complete Podcasting Kit

The RODE PodMic bundle supplies a broadcast-quality dynamic microphone, closed-back studio headphones, a tabletop stand and a 15 foot XLR cable in one package. It is aimed at podcasters, streamers and voice-over artists who want a ready-to-record setup without sourcing each component separately.

Low-Noise Dynamic Operation

The PodMic uses a cardioid dynamic capsule with internal pop filtering and shock-mounting to reject off-axis room sound and handling vibration. No phantom power is required, so the microphone draws no current and adds no self-noise to the signal chain during normal speech-level recording.

Desk-Ready All-Metal Build

The microphone body is all-metal for durability under daily studio use. The included tabletop stand positions the capsule at a fixed height for seated speaking, while the 15 foot XLR cable reaches most desktop interfaces without strain. Users needing boom-arm mounting or longer cable runs will need separate accessories.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the PodMic on the included tabletop stand?

Screw the microphone's threaded base onto the stand's mounting thread, then tighten the knurled ring by hand until the capsule faces your mouth; the step people miss is leaving the internal pop filter clear of the stand arm.

What will need replacement first on the Turnstile Audio TAPH100 headphones?

The ear-pad cushions typically wear out before the drivers; they are user-replaceable and inexpensive.

At what cable length does signal loss become noticeable with the supplied 15 ft XLR?

The 15 ft balanced XLR cable stays well within the low-loss range for dynamic-microphone signals; degradation only appears on much longer runs.
