Fourth-generation iPad with 16 GB storage

This 9.7-inch tablet shipped in late 2012 with a 1.4 GHz Apple A6X processor and 1 GB of memory. It runs iOS 8 or higher and connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The 16 GB capacity holds essential apps and light media.

Buyers needing more storage

The fixed 16 GB cannot be expanded and there is no mobile broadband option. Users who store large photo libraries, offline video or many games will run out of space quickly. The Wi-Fi only design also limits connectivity away from known networks.

16 GB fixed storage decides suitability

With no card slot or larger capacity variant in this listing, the 16 GB figure alone determines whether the device fits the intended workload. Choose this unit only if the usage pattern stays comfortably inside that limit.
