What this tablet is

This is a first-generation iPad Air from 2013 with a 9.7 inch display and 16GB of storage. It connects through Wi-Fi only and ships with an aftermarket charger and cable. The unit is sold as new stock.

Upgrading from an older iPad

Moving to this model replaces earlier 9.7 inch tablets that used the 30-pin connector and heavier chassis. The jump is worthwhile when you need the thinner profile and Lightning port but do not require cellular connectivity or more than 16GB of local storage.

Check your workflow before ordering

Verify that 16GB will hold the apps and offline media you plan to keep on the device, because storage cannot be expanded. Confirm that Wi-Fi-only access fits your mobility needs and that the supplied aftermarket charger meets your power-outlet requirements.

Questions about this item

What size wall charger plug fits the included aftermarket cable?

The bundle supplies a certified aftermarket wall charger and cable, so the plug on that charger matches the cable end supplied.

Which port on the 9.7-inch 2013 iPad Air accepts the supplied cable for the first charge?

Insert the cable into the Lightning port on the bottom edge of the tablet; the connector seats with a click when fully engaged.

When will the 80-percent battery health guarantee require a replacement?

Battery capacity naturally declines; expect a replacement when run-time drops below your daily needs, typically after several hundred full cycles.
