iPad Air 1st Gen 16GB Wi-Fi

The Apple iPad Air 1st Gen A1474 is a 9.7 inch tablet with 16 GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity. It ships with iOS 12 installed and cannot be updated beyond that version. This configuration suits users who need a lightweight iOS device for basic apps and media consumption.

iOS 12 software ceiling

The tablet is locked to iOS 12 as its maximum supported operating system. Many current applications and security updates require newer iOS versions and will not install or run correctly. Buyers who rely on modern banking, streaming or productivity apps should verify compatibility before purchasing.

Upgrade from earlier iPad or iPhone

This model replaces an original iPad or an iPhone used as a primary portable screen, offering a larger display and the lighter Air chassis. The jump is worthwhile when the older device can no longer hold a charge or struggles with iOS 12 apps. It does not suit buyers who need current iOS support, more than 16 GB of storage, or cellular connectivity.
