Compact 7.9" Retina Tablet with 128GB Storage

The Apple iPad Mini 4 is a new 7.9 inch tablet featuring a Retina display with 2048 by 1536 resolution and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on an Apple A8 chip with 2GB RAM and includes Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth connectivity. The Space Gray aluminum body houses a Lightning port and a Touch ID sensor for secure unlocking.

Suits Travellers and Light-Productivity Users

Buyers who want a thin, light slate for reading, web browsing, streaming and email on the move will appreciate the portable 7.9 inch form factor and generous 128GB capacity. Users who need cellular data away from Wi-Fi, expanded storage beyond 128GB, or a larger screen for heavy multitasking should consider other options.

Deciding Spec: 128GB On-Board Storage

The single specification that determines fit is the fixed 128GB of internal memory. There is no card slot or hardware upgrade path, so the entire app library, photo collection and offline media must fit within this capacity. Confirm that 128GB covers your projected workload before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the iPad Mini 4 with the A8 chip and 2 GB RAM still run the same iPadOS apps as my older iPad Air 2?

Both tablets use the same A8 processor and 2 GB of RAM, so they share the same iPadOS compatibility ceiling and will run the same set of current apps.

How can I confirm the 7.9 inch Retina display is showing the correct 2048 by 1536 resolution after setup?

Open Settings, tap General then About, and the Display line will show 2048 x 1536 if the panel is running at its native resolution.

The box only lists the iPad Mini 4 tablet, so what else do I need to buy to charge it and use wired headphones?

You will need a Lightning cable and a USB power adapter for charging, and headphones with a standard audio plug for wired listening.
