A pin-and-sleeve plug rated 30 A, 600 V AC, with four poles, three wires and an aluminium housing for hazardous-location use
The Appleton Century Crofts CPH3034BC is a 30 A, 4-pole, 3-wire pin-and-sleeve plug rated for 600 VAC three-phase power. Its aluminium housing meets Class I Division 1 and 2 Groups B, C, D, Class II Division 1 and 2 Groups F, G and Class III Division 1 and 2 hazardous-location specifications. The straight-orientation body accepts cable diameters from .5 in to 1.125 in and terminates with wire leads under a screw-on cap.
The grounded Style 2 construction and 2.55 in face diameter maintain secure contact during continuous three-phase loads in wet, corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Aluminium housing resists impact and chemical exposure better than non-metallic alternatives, while the screw-on cap prevents accidental disengagement under vibration or cable tension. Wire-lead termination eliminates loose terminal screws that can overheat during extended operation.
This plug replaces damaged or non-compliant pin-and-sleeve devices in Class I, II and III Division 1 and 2 locations where 30 A 600 VAC three-phase service is required. The jump is worth it when existing connectors lack the correct hazardous-location rating, show contact pitting from arcing, or cannot accommodate the .5 in to 1.125 in cable range needed for the installation.

The plug is a passive connector with no moving parts or active electronics, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat under normal 30 A continuous operation.
The plug accepts cables from 0.5 in to 1.125 in outer diameter, so your existing cable must fall within that range for a proper fit.
Yes, the 2.55 in face diameter matches the standard interface for this series, allowing direct connection to compatible legacy receptacles of the same rating.
