Secure 16 TB portable SSD with USB 3.0

The Apricorn Aegis Padlock A25-3PL256-S16TB is a 16 TB external solid-state drive built around a hardware-encrypted architecture. It connects through a USB 3.0 interface and requires no software installation to operate. The drive is aimed at professionals who must keep sensitive data protected while moving large datasets between locations.

Suits users who need hardware encryption

Buyers who require validated, driver-free encryption and 16 TB of storage in a bus-powered form factor will match this product. It is not for users who need faster transfer speeds than USB 3.0 can deliver, nor for those who rely on software-based encryption tools or cloud-only workflows.

Deciding specification: 16 TB hardware-encrypted

The single figure that determines fit is the 16 TB capacity combined with on-board 256-bit AES encryption presented over a USB 3.0 connection. If your workflow demands that exact capacity and encryption standard on this interface, the drive meets the requirement; otherwise, a different capacity or interface is needed.
