Secure portable storage for regulated data

The Apricorn Aegis NVX is a 500 GB external SSD built around a proprietary NVMe architecture with 256-bit hardware encryption. It targets professionals who must protect sensitive files while moving between workstations without relying on software utilities.

Aluminium chassis with integrated keypad

The drive measures 6.040 by 2.720 centimetres and weighs .4500 kilograms, so it fits in a laptop bag without adding bulk. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector supplies both power and data up to 1000 MB/s, while the onboard alphanumeric keypad lets you unlock the drive before it ever touches the host system.

Verify your host has a USB-C port

Check that the computer you plan to use offers a USB-C receptacle capable of USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds; older Type-A ports will work with an adapter but will not reach the rated throughput. The drive draws all power from the bus, so no external supply is required, but confirm your port can deliver standard bus power. Buyers who need a second unlocked volume or hardware write-protection should look elsewhere.
