Magnetic Organiser Bin for Metal Surfaces

The iDesign magnetic bin attaches to washers, dryers or any ferrous surface to hold detergent pods, cleaning cloths or small accessories. It suits renters, RV owners and dorm residents who need extra storage without drilling holes or using adhesives. The clear glossy plastic lets you see contents at a glance while the raised front lip keeps items from sliding off.

Limits of Magnetic Mounting

Holding power depends entirely on the thickness and flatness of the steel surface; textured, coated or thin sheet metal will reduce grip. The bin cannot be used on non-magnetic materials such as stainless-steel fronts, aluminium, plastic laminate or painted drywall. Total load must stay light because the magnet array is sized for the bin’s own .5 in. depth and the 0.285 kg weight of the unit itself.

Tool-Free Installation and Common Issues

Installation is a simple place-and-press action that requires no tools, screws or assembly. The most frequent problem is the bin sliding down a vertical surface if the metal is too smooth or dusty, which can be reduced by cleaning the mounting area first. Overloading the bin or bumping it hard can break the magnetic bond, and the plastic must not be washed in a dishwasher.
